INRAD DMS-686 Desk Mic System

The INRAD DMS-686 Desk Mic System has high end rise in the 2 kHz to 4 kHz range but more well-rounded audio than either of the M665 or M650.

INRAD microphones and the DMS-1 PTT locking base have received an enthusiastic review in the January 2018 issue of QST magazine.  Read the complete review here.

INRAD DMS-650 Desk Mic System

The INRAD DMS-650 Desk Mic System has well-articulated overall audio with plenty of high end punch for DX operation and/or using the speech processor on the radio to drive output.

INRAD microphones and the DMS-1 PTT locking base have received an enthusiastic review in the January 2018 issue of QST magazine.  Read the complete review here.

SunSDR2 DX is the most popular transceiver from Expert Electronics. It is a high performance 100W-HF; 80W-6M; 8W-2M transceiver, very compact, and active cooling making it perfectly suited for DXpeditions and contest operators.

Great value for money radio. Does not look like a normal radio of course, and you have to get used to the “software interface” on a PC.
    Fantastic for “remote control”.
Great improvement in RX but also great to have the big termostatical controlled fan on top.
Looking forward to revised software architecture.

Just as my SunsdrPRO 2, a GREAT radio, with a lot of possibilities. Looking forward to use it on my remote location, with the AAT-100.
A whole new way of doing Ham Radio.

    Love it.

I have tried several radios such as Flexradio 6600, Elekraft K3, SunSDR2 Pro and more. The SunSDR DX has a definite fun factor and the challenge with additional software applications and Software Defined Connectors app with TCI appeals to my aging brain. CW and SSB operation runs stable and with excellent reports. With 100W output this radio is a bit more flexible in operation and the improvements makes it a great radio.

    SunSDR2DX – is this a realy radio?

In the first days of SDR i wouldn´t have an SDR. Because its not a really radio with scales and knobs.
At our contest group i learn to know the advantages of a Panadapter in combination with a “radio”.

Now i am sitting in front of the SUNSDR2 DX, has the overview of a complete HAM-Band, have unbelievable filters, notches, capabilities,
uncountable functions in combination with the computer, have found a few new DXes.
The conclusion is: Its a really radio.
I don´t miss the boxes with scales and knobs……
    Cheers,

At the beginning of February I bought a SunsdrDX. The transaction was easy and quick.
The device is very compact and fits in every chack. The connection to my home network was easy and now I can use the software on my laptop and Surface Windows tablet without any problems.
I use the software ESDR2 or ESDR3 and it works smoothly with both versions, version 3 is an alpha version and is not yet finished, so there is still a lot missing that can be used in V2.
I already had 2 SDR tranceivers, Flex 3000 and Flex 6300. For me, the SunSDR2DX is by far the better tranceiver.
