Performance Notes / Setup Guidance

The OM2000A+ requires 40–60 W of RF drive for full output power, so exciter drive should be adjusted carefully before operation. Ensure the amplifier is connected to a suitable mains supply, correctly rated fusing and an antenna system capable of handling the intended output power. The amplifier is specified for operation into a maximum output SWR of 3:1 and will automatically switch to standby when reflected power reaches 350 W or more. For best performance, use a well-matched antenna system or external tuner where appropriate.

For CAT control, configure the amplifier according to your transceiver brand and station layout. Supported systems include Icom, Elecraft, Kenwood, Ten-Tec Orion, Yaesu, FlexRadio and Apache Labs ANAN. For LAN remote-control use, the manufacturer specifies a Lantronix XPORT interface.
